Online & Offline Tirumala Darshan Tickets – Rs 300, Rs 500 & Free Darshanam

Many pilgrims throng Tirumala from different parts of India. Even devotees get to this holy land from foreign countries. So, to make crowd management easy, TTD offers the facility to book Tirumala Darshan tickets. This is for ease of darshan for pilgrims as well. Indeed, there is also a free darshan facility available without any pre-booking. But, for this, there will be a huge rush and waiting period. Let us gather some details about the different darshan booking options and their costs here:

Tirupati & Tirumala Special Darshan

This special entry is referred to as Seeghra Darshanam. Here are some details about this method of booking darshan:

  • This special entry darshan was introduced by TTD on 21st September 2009 for providing quick darshan to the pilgrims. 
  • The cost of darshan under this category is INR 300 per pilgrim.
  • Along with this ticket, pilgrims will get a laddu free of cost.
  • Booking is available round-the-clock for this entry.
  • Even though this booking method was introduced in 2009, booking was made available with effect from 27th August 2014. 
  • The good thing about this method is that pilgrims can book this for the same-day darshan.
  • They can book three hours before the darshan slot. However, they will get the ticket only on the basis of quota availability.
  • When booking this darshan ticket, pilgrims can make an eHundi offering.
  • This booking can be done via the internet from their homes through https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in
  • Otherwise, booking can also be done via Indian post offices.

INR 500 Tirumala Darshan Booking

Different types of sevas are available for INR 500 and the seva timings differ. Here is a table to show the seva names and timings:

  • Sahasra Deepalankarana – 5 pm to 6 pm
  • Unjal Seva – 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm
  • Arjitha Brahmotsavam – 2 pm to 3 pm.

Instructions for Pilgrims by TTD

Here are some instructions provided by TTD for pilgrims visiting any sava online:

  • The reporting point to avail seva is at VQC-1 at Tirumala
  • When entering this point, pilgrims will have to produce the same original ID that they produce at the time of booking.
  • For children under 12 years to gain free entry, age-proof should be provided by parents
  • When visiting Tirumala for seva, devotees are recommended to follow the dress code suggested by Tirumala.
  • Pilgrims booking seva online should carry a printed copy of the receipt
  • Those booking group tickets will have to report together
  • Entry is not permitted with shoes or chappals to temples, Mada streets and queues lines.
  • When reporting, pilgrims should not carry any luggage, mobile phone, or electronic gadgets. They can hand over these things to the luggage counter
  • All bookings made online or final. Pilgrims cannot demand any postponement/preponement/refund or cancellation of tickets.
  • TTD reserves the right to cancel any seva under any special situation
  • At the time of reporting for darshan, pilgrims are recommended to produce a two-dose vaccination certificate. Otherwise, they will have to produce a COVID-19 negative certificate. This certificate should have been obtained 48 hours before the darshan date.
  • Post-Pandemic, all pilgrims are recommended to carry personal sanitiser. They should wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Also, they are recommended to cooperate for thermal checking.

How To Book Special Darshan Tickets Online?

The procedure to book special darshan tickets online is as follows:

  • First, visit https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in/#/login
  • Here, on the left side panel, you will find many options. 
  • The first option among them will be special entry darshan (Rs. 300)
  • When you click on this option, you will be taken to this page: https://online.tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in/login?flow=sed
  • On this page, you will have to wait for a few seconds in the queue.
  • After the waiting time, the website will ask for your mobile number and you will have to enter a captcha code.
  • After entering, you can click on the generate OTP option. Immediately, you will get an OTP to your mobile number.
  • When you enter the OTP, you will be taken to a page that contains dates for this month and the next three months.
  • On this page, green-coloured dates indicate the availability of special darshan slots.
  • After choosing the date you will have to enter the number of people, who will accompany you.
  • If you need additional laddus other than one free laddu per ticket, you will have to enter the number here. For each additional laddu, you will have to pay INR 50 in addition to INR 300.
  • Also, if you are planning to provide any Hundi offerings, you can enter the information on this page.
  • After entering these details, click on the continue option.
  • You will be asked to enter your login credentials.
  • If you do not have them, you can sign up with the website as a new user. When signing up, you will have to provide your name, email address, mobile number, address, and other details the website asks for.
  • After logging in, you will be taken to the payment gateway after you have chosen the date of the special darshan. 
  • On the payment page, you will have to pay the charges specified. You can pay using your credit card/debit card number or even through net banking.

You will have to follow the same procedure for INR 500 entry as well. The only difference is that instead of a special entry, you will have to choose Srivari Seva, Tirumala on this page: https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in/#/login from the left panel. Also, when you click on the Srivari Seva, you will be taken to a page that contains a drop-down menu of different sevas. After selecting the appropriate seva, click on the dates and follow the same process as above.

How to Book Tirupati, Tirumala Darshan Tickets In-Person?

Be it an Rs.300 or Rs.500 special darshan ticket, you can book in person in the following ways:

  • You can visit the Head Post office in Tirupati to book this ticket. This office is located near Gangamma Temple in Tirupati in Tata Nagar.
  • Even, you can find E-Darshan counters in Renigunta. You can find the counter straight opposite Renigunta Railway Station.
  • You can get this ticket at Sri Vari Sannidhi. It is on the way to Kapila Theertham from the bus station.
  • The special entry darshan is offered free for children below 1 year.
